Accessibility statement
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. If any part of it does not work for you, tell us and we will fix it.
Our commitment
People looking for this site are frequently injured, in pain, on medication, using one hand, or reading on a phone screen in a hospital waiting room. Accessibility is not a compliance checkbox in that context; it is whether the site works at all for the people it is meant for.
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA.
What that means here
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on each interactive element.
- Text and interface colors meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode.
- The site respects your device's light or dark setting, and respects a reduced-motion preference.
- Headings are structured in a real hierarchy so screen reader users can navigate by heading rather than reading linearly.
- The case review form has visible, programmatically associated labels on every field, and errors are announced rather than only shown in color.
- Tap targets on mobile are sized for imprecise, one-handed use.
- Text can be resized up to 200 percent without loss of content or function, and the page reflows at narrow widths rather than requiring horizontal scrolling.
- No content flashes, auto-plays or moves on its own.
- A skip link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump straight to the main content.
If something does not work
Accessibility work is never finished, and automated testing does not catch everything. If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, tell us and we will fix it. Use the phone number or the contact page, and describe what you were trying to do and what happened.
If the website itself is a barrier, that does not stop you from getting help. Call the office or ask someone to call on your behalf, and we will take the information by phone or come to you.
